A family that came from Great Britain to Chile for work to the Bio Bio region, where they settled and raised family, using English as their working source.
My grandmother Mrs. Ethel Turpie started teaching English and Music at ST. Jonhn's School in 1937, for more than fifty years, where many generations passed through her, then my father Eric Brian Saffery Turpie, after retiring from his own business, continued the tradition of teaching English in Talca, at SAFFERY BRITISH ACADEMY, my present working place, which has been for more than seventeen years. With his passing away in 2010 I decided to take over my project on my own, teaching groups of people, children, entrepreneurs, particularly as well as through SENCE, CAMARA CHILENA DE LA CONSTRUCCION, SOFOFA, CAMARA DEL COMERCIO, where I am a registered teacher.

The groups are selected according to the level of knowledge, interest and time dedicated to the discipline of learning. They are grouped in a maximum of 5 in order to make better use of their time.
